History & Origin
A Network Born from Vision
The first Hope Clinic was established in Abong-mbang, Cameroon in 1999 by the founding couple Isaac and Bola NGWAN. This pioneering clinic operated until 2012 and established the Hope Clinic model that now spans 15 operational clinics across Africa and beyond.
Hope Clinic's motto — "Nous sommes partenaires avec Dieu pour le bien-être de l'homme" (We are partners with God for the well-being of mankind) — defines every aspect of care delivery.
With its flagship 2nd-level reference clinic in Koumé-Bonis, Bertoua (opened 2015), Hope Clinic now operates 15 functional clinics across 10+ countries including Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire, South Sudan, Uganda, Gabon, Zimbabwe, Mali, Nigeria, Mauritania, and Romania.
